CAR WAXES

A car wax is a blend of materials that can best be described as a malleable solid. The car wax actually changes from a solid to a liquid at a certain elevated temperature. This temperature can be achieved just by friction by buffing with a cloth or with an electric buffing machine. Car waxes are used as a protective layer between the exterior of the car and the environment. There are a variety of waxes available like Freedom Car Fashion, paraffin or Montana which are natural. Car waxes are usually applied on the vehicle after a wash. When the wax is applied, it turns into a transparent layer which is then buffed or wiped with a microfiber cloth. Waxes work by filling in the microscopic imperfections on the car’s paint to give it a new looking shine. This is important because it prevents contaminants from sticking to the exterior of the car.

Generally, with a good waxing compound, the car should be waxed every 4-6 weeks. This is if the car is parked, covered in a garage. For cars that are parked outside, a car waxing service should be completed at shorter intervals of 2-3 weeks.
